Oblion ("we", "us", or "our") is a desktop application and web service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

Oblion operates primarily as a local desktop application. Most data stays on your machine. We may collect:

• Email address — if you sign up for early access or subscribe to our newsletter via our website.
• App usage analytics — anonymized crash reports and feature usage (if enabled).
• WhatsApp session data — stored locally on your device only. We never transmit your session credentials or messages to our servers.
• Website analytics data — pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general location (country/city level) collected via Google Analytics.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your WhatsApp messages or contacts
• Proxy credentials or passwords
• API keys you configure in the app
• Any personally identifiable data beyond your email (if provided)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To send you early access download links, product updates, and newsletters (email only)
• To improve app stability via anonymized crash reports
• To understand website traffic and improve our marketing via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing

4. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) — tracks website usage such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. Data is anonymized and aggregated.
• Meta Pixel (via Google Tag Manager) — tracks website visits and conversion events to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads.
• Google Tag Manager — manages and deploys the above tracking scripts. No personal data is collected by GTM itself.
• You can opt out of analytics tracking via Google Analytics Opt-out or adjust your browser's cookie settings.

5. Local Storage (Desktop App)

All WhatsApp session authentication, proxy configurations, and warm-up job settings are stored locally on your device using your operating system's local storage. We have no access to this data.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our website and app:

• Resend — email delivery for waitlist confirmations and newsletters.
• Mailchimp — newsletter subscriber management. If you subscribe, your email is stored on Mailchimp's servers subject to their privacy policy.
• Google Analytics & GTM — website analytics and tag management.
• Meta Pixel — advertising performance measurement.
• The app may also connect to third-party services you configure yourself (e.g. OpenAI for AI messaging). Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

If you provided your email for early access or newsletter, we retain it until you request removal or unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us at privacy@oblion.io.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect any data we hold. Since most app data is stored locally on your device, securing your machine is equally important.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify registered users via email for significant changes. Continued use of our website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
